The Role

GeoComply seeks a Corporate Accounting Manager to be a key member of the Accounting team, reporting to the Senior Manager of accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end close cycle for assigned corporate entities by executing and coordinating staff activities to produce timely financial statements, analyses, and reconciliations.
  • Generate internal management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for presentation to the senior leadership team.
  • Review working papers and approve journal entries from junior staff at month-end closing.
  • Review third-party vendor contracts to identify any accounting issues.
  • Liaise with Corporate Finance to understand cost center spending to determine the impact on our financial results.
  • Prepare documentation for external audits, including responding to auditor inquiries and requests.
  • Manage chart of accounts and general ledgers, ensuring accuracy and appropriate controls over accounting transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the finance and accounting team to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members as needed.
  • Support of ad-hoc requests and leadership of new workstreams as needed.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent is required.
  • CPA designation or equivalent qualification in good standing.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a similar role.

  • Prior experience in one of our core industries (i.e. Gaming, Media & Entertainment, and Financial Services).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced tech environment, particularly during growth.
  • Tech savvy and seek to utilize technology to drive efficiencies.
  • Resourceful and "roll up your sleeves" to make things happen.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.

Salary Range

The typical salary range for this position is from $85,000-110,000 annually. The base pay offered may vary depending on a variety of factors including your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
