Summary :

Lead the development and execution of McCain business plans in effort to maximize growth for several priority chain customers throughout the Central region.

Set budgets and performance metrics for each customer, managing all aspects of the direct selling process to drive profitable growth across the McCain portfolio of potatoes and appetizer products.

Communicate and activate plans in collaboration with McCain cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Consistently deliver volume and profit growth targets for assigned customers.
  • Utilizing a consultative approach to selling; identify the needs of the customer, and deploy the appropriate internal resources, Marketing, R&D, QA, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Penetrate customer organization at multiple levels and across key functions including Purchasing, Supply Chain, Senior Management, Marketing and QA.
  • Generate opportunity pipeline to include new business acquisition, existing business expansion, and where appropriate custom product development.
  • Develop and deliver impactful customer presentations & business reviews to positively shape customer strategy and provide insights & solutions for profitable growth.
  • Positively represent McCain at various customer conferences, seminars, and meetings.
  • Provide accurate monthly volume forecasts through discerning customer data and factoring in historical information.
  • Through Salesforce document key actions, follow-ups, sales wins and losses on a monthly basis.
  • Manage contract negotiations, RFPs, and pricing with individual customers for optimal outcome.
  • Ensure strong fiscal responsibility by managing within budgets and optimizing ROI.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.

Experience Required :

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ sales experience in the Foodservice Industry is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Personal characteristics should include a strong work ethic, the willingness and capability to be a self-starter, the ability to make informed independent judgements, strong interpersonal skills, negotiating and communication at all levels of an organization.
