The Role :

As the Manager, Corporate Planning and Risk Management, you will drive the strategic and corporate planning processes at CLBC, aligning our long-term goals with actionable business plans that support adults with developmental disabilities and their families.

In this role, you will analyze sector trends, financial data, and organizational strengths to develop impactful strategies, ensuring alignment and optimal use of resources.

Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, you'll communicate and implement strategic initiatives across departments, overseeing continuous evaluation and adjustment of plans to respond effectively to changing environments and keep CLBC on track to achieve its mission.

Responsibilities include :

  • Leading the development and execution of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to align with strategic objectives
  • Monitoring business plans to ensure projects and initiatives are on schedule and delivering expected outcomes
  • Conducting research to gather insights on sector trends affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and their service providers to identify strategic opportunities and risks
  • Acting as a liaison across departments to integrate and align strategic plans, facilitating collaboration toward common goals
  • Managing and strengthening risk management activities, including processes associated with the organization's risk registry
  • Defining and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate the success of strategic initiatives
  • Providing motivational leadership and coaching to foster a respectful, engaged, and capable team environment

To be successful, you will bring :

  • An in-depth understanding of strategic and corporate planning processes, including development, implementation, and monitoring of corporate strategies
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking, with the ability to create actionable plans aligned with long-term goals
  • Proven ability to identify organizational risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Exceptional project management skills, enabling you to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects while meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in strategic planning or corporate development in a similar role
  • A bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, economics, organizational development, or a related field
  • To reduce barriers to the application process, we welcome a combination of transferable skills, knowledge, lived experience, and comparable qualifications for consideration
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Strategic Planning Professional (CSPP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are an asset
  • Direct experience in a leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change
  • Experience within the public sector environment is an asset

Hybrid work Combines on-site office work with flexibility to work from home within BC.

Travel : Occasional overnight travel as required.

Classification / Salary : Management Band 4 : Position starts at $100,231 to $125,289 annually
