HHuman Resources Administrator - Contract
Purpose
The HR Administrator provides front-line operation support to managers, supervisors, and staff in a variety of functional areas of human resources, including but not limited to recruitment, payroll and benefits, HR policies and procedures, employee relations and administration.
He / she works as a trusted business partner providing general human resources support, in a solutions-oriented manner keeping abreast.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assisting in recruiting efforts by liaising with managers and supervisors on job profiles and candidates, conducting interviews, running background checks and preparing offers
- Supporting Manager, HR Operations with general HR Administrative duties such as, employment verifications, document / data integrity, vendor management, shipping etc.
- Administering employee benefits
- Assisting with onboarding of new recruits, including preparing orientations
- Actively participate in Social Committee and Joint Health & Safety Committee and report to Manager, HR Operations
- Completing payroll reconciliation semi-monthly, ensuring bonuses, commissions, hours, vacation, etc. are captured correctly
- Developing and maintaining a range of business analytics and reporting dashboards
- Providing support to the Manager, Human Resources Operations with annual HR processes (e.g., Compensation Planning; Performance Management;
Training), including tracking of completion, consolidation, and analysis
- Editing award nominations for quarterly awards to support Manager, HR Operations and administer other awards and recognition systems
- Ensuring all employee files, policies, and ORG charts in HRIS are maintained as per compliance standards to support the annual audits
- Ensuring all policies and programs are maintained and up to date and in compliance with legislative requirements / standards for all geographical locations of the business
- Working together with the Manager, Human Resources Operations on employee correspondence, integration support and month-end activities as assigned
- Participating in other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Skills :
- Bachelors’ or College qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent years’ of experience
- Knowledge of all applicable legislation related to Human Resources Management (i.e., Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, AODA, Health and Safety)
- Strong organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects; adjust to fast-moving business environment and meet tight deadlines
- Self-starter, able to take ideas and directives and "run with it
- Proficient with MS Office Programs
This role will be subject to the contract timeline.
