Your Opportunity
The Corporate Real Estate Team is looking for a Project Manager to administer and organize all aspects of Tenant Interior projects.
As the Project Manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on.
You will be working directly with leadership and the project team to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and on budget.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the site selection during the lease transaction by participating in site tours and understanding the requirements of the client user.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned tenant improvement projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Collaborate with Corporate Real Estate managers, user groups, architects, engineers etc. to determine project specifications.
- Interact regularly with regional leadership and client users to interpret their requests and needs regarding project limitations.
- Provide input and guidance in the development of the scope and budgets. Maintain budget updates regularly.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Ensure permits and licenses are obtained from appropriate authorities.
- Plan all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, and performance standards.
- Generate and maintain project planning documentation including schedules, budgets, and cost control processes.
- Chair or be a key player in all project and site meetings and ensure meeting minutes are kept.
- Ensure effective management of punch list, warranty and closeout phases of the project.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Skilled in facilitating collaborative problem-solving sessions.
- Experienced in analyzing complex problems and synthesizing information.
- Proficient in evaluating the impact of design and construction alternatives.
- Strong planning abilities to achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
- Knowledgeable in contract security and insurance strategies.
- Experience in managing projects, coordinating tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Expert communication skills ensuring timely dissemination of information.
- Solid organizational abilities, including attention to detail and time-management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
- 1-3 years proven work experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
- 5 years’ experience in building / interior fit-out construction.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
