Annual Salary : $65,000 - $72,000 - depending on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Project Planning and Coordination :
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and finalization of construction projects.
- Maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Track and report on project progress, including costs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Ensure that all project documents are properly stored and accessible.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparation of discovery documents for legal claims, if applicable.
- Prepare, and track, tendering packages sent to contractors.
Communication and Liaison :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
- Facilitate regular meetings with Project Manager to discuss progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
- Communicate with contractors with respect to providing bids for our projects.
Cost Management :
Prepare and process invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
Quality Control and Compliance :
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
Risk Management :
- Monitor and address any issues or obstacles that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Skills :
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to read, and understand, all drawing disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience : 2-3 years of experience in construction project coordination in Canada.
