Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Admissions Manager is responsible for attracting, enrolling, and onboarding talented and motivated international and domestic students for the vocational division, including the professional training program and the post-secondary bridge program. This role directs all prospective student recruitment efforts, such as sourcing leads, responding to enquiries, processing applications, organizing auditions, managing waiver tracking and completion, identifying academic support, and liaising with finance. Overseeing all steps in the process requires impeccable relationship management, project management, and action orientation. As a key member of the leadership team, the Admissions Manager works closely with the administrative and artistic leaders. Additionally, the Admissions Manager will lead and develop the VAB team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that drives performance and growth.
Accountabilities
- Oversees the admissions department and provides supervisory oversight to the admissions coordinator.
- Manages relationships with all students to support their ongoing needs through the admissions process.
- Articulates the mission, vision, and values of VAB to all prospective students.
- Oversees the prospective student experience including supporting all enquiries regarding the vocational dance division with VAB and the application process and requirements.
- Develops key partnerships and business relationships with dance agents in other countries including Japan and Mexico to provide information about VAB and the vocational division.
- Establishes a lead management system that identifies prospective student sources and supports efficient tracking and tiered acceptance systems in the recruitment process.
- Develops and implements student recruitment initiatives and networking events and engages with the marketing department to develop promotional materials.
- Implements action plans to ensure that enrollment goals are met.
- Manages all steps in the application and enrollment process for the vocational division as well as the international open division.
- Oversees all vocational division audition scheduling, audition videos, issuance of acceptance letters, distribution of enrollment packages, and acceptance of fees and payments.
- Leads accepted international dancers and families through the process of study permit applications, custodian forms, suitable academic programs, as well as providing support on homestay arrangements and comprehensive management of medical coverage.
- Collaborates with the VAB team including the marketing department on all potential student interest, the Student Services Advisor to ensure a great orientation and onboarding experience, and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure payment processing is timely.
- Manages relationships with all vocational and international open division students to support their ongoing needs.
- Responsible for compliance, reporting, and audits associated with the Private Training Institute Branch.
- Oversees the student database for the vocational division ensuring accurate and secure data entry, ongoing reporting, and maintenance.
- Develops complex integration processes with themarketing and communications team for recruitment purposes.
- Creates student process and tracking systems.
- Oversees all required international documentation and support letters for students.
- Manages all study permits and legal documents for new and returning students.
- Works with our academic consultant to understand complex needs and questions regarding academic programs for prospective students.
- Works with academic institutionsto create aregistration process and smooth integration of enrollment.
- Provides exemplary service to the artistic and leadership teams including student tracking and prospective student meetings.
- Facilitates the integration of artistic programming, marketing efforts, and admissions planning throughout the calendar year.

VAB is a bright and welcoming environment that is home to many dancers coming and going throughout the day. Our custom-built offices support collaboration and teamwork through shared workspace and an open lounge. Our facility is fully accessible and close to many amenities. This role may provide for some flexible and remote work.
