Job description

At International SOS, we are in the business of protecting and saving lives. For 40 years, we have delivered customised security risk management, health, and wellbeing solutions to organisations worldwide. With a presence in 90 countries and a team of nearly 13,000 experts, we provide 24/7 support to help organisations fulfil their Duty of Care responsibilities.

Now, we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and make a difference.

The Package

Imagine a schedule that gives you true work-life balance: choose from fly-in/fly-out rotations of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or 3 weeks on/3 weeks off. That means you’ll work only half the year—while earning a full year’s pay.

Leave the stress behind—we’ve got your essentials covered. From comfortable accommodations to delicious meals, everything is taken care of while you’re on-site with us.

And because flexibility matters, we offer travel perks: whether it’s reimbursement, allowances, or free charter flights, you can live anywhere in Canada and still work in the province of your choice. This isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle designed around freedom, balance, and opportunity.

What’s in It for You?

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, vision, and dental coverage, plus emergency travel assistance, virtual care, life insurance, long-term disability, and an employee assistance program.
  • Retention Bonus: Your commitment pays off—literally.
  • All Gear Provided: Uniforms and PPE supplied for client sites, so you’re ready from day one.
  • Grow Your Career: Access to continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Earn More Through Referrals: Bring great people on board and get rewarded.

Your Mission

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and demonstrating strong professional leadership across the medical team. Your purpose will be to foster an environment where patient safety and high standards of care are paramount and consistently upheld. You will act as a mentor and supervisor, guiding clinical staff to maintain excellence within designated medical centres. Through your expertise, you will influence care delivery processes, optimize health outcomes, and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

  • Prescribing medications within the scope of practice, while advocating for safe and effective pharmaceutical management.
  • Facilitating continuous medical education by organizing weekly learning sessions and supporting staff participation in these activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Leading daily safety briefings focused on relevant industry and clinic-specific health and safety concerns to foster an environment of awareness and prevention.
  • Developing and maintaining an ongoing training calendar that aligns with organizational goals and clinical competencies.
  • Preparing staff for emergency situations through coordinated scenario-based training and drills, reinforcing preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Managing and monitoring medical equipment maintenance and supply inventories, ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance with international health standards.
  • Promoting and overseeing stringent infection control protocols, including sterilization practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage in line with International SOS guidelines.
  • Delegating responsibilities to empower clinical team members, supporting their development and ensuring continuous professional growth.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement programs, including risk identification, contributing to procedural enhancements, and submitting detailed reports on clinical efficacy and safety.
  • Engaging in committees, workgroups, and other collaborative forums to drive organizational excellence and innovation.
