Job Description

Mechanical Engineer to design electrical transformers that are liquid filled and related apparatus.

Knowledge of thermodynamics, metallurgy, metal fabrication, manufacturing development, and electricity.

Must be strong with SOLIDWORKS and FEA Simulation

Job Details :

Design electrical transformers & related apparatus to meet specific requirements.

Follow design priority sequencing according to the schedule.

Generate / contribute to the design manuals.

Perform calcs to determine the parameters for the successful creation of the product.

Create mechanical and electrical design parameters using the design criteria given and advise mechanical design regarding functional aspects of the design, losses, clearances, etc.

Create accurate BOMs as required.

Approve or generate review drawings for customers.

determine test equipment parameters for production and develop inspection and test plans.

Conduct qualification testing of new products to confirm results and validate performance to requirements.

Develop new manufacturing tooling for use in production, where required.

Use automation techniques to produce layouts, outlined, and detailed BOMs using SolidWorks.

Overcome technical challenges presented by Customer, Sales, and other internal parties.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering

Registered Professional Engineer Mechanical or able to complete within 6 months.

Minimum 5 years of fluid filled transformer design.

Eligibility for Certificate of Authorization General.
