Responsibilities

  • Responsiblefor creating architectures roadmaps and plans to modernize andintegrate provincial medical imaging assets in Ontario within theprovincial electronic health record leveraging multiple OntarioHealth products andservices
  • Actsas subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders inspecialized area of medical imaging technology solutions includingcloudbased opportunities enabling provincial scalability ofdocument repositories picture archive and communication systems(PACS) imaging data archives (i.

e. DICOM and NonDICOM) andsupporting common services (i.e. patient identity solutionsterminology standards) leveraging healthcare interoperabilitystandards (i.e. HL7 V2FHIR)

  • Collaborateswith peer architects in development of solution architecture uniqueto medical imaging in the province and supports the practice ofarchitecture and the development of solution architecture modelsanddocumentation
  • Developsvisionary solutions as well as the tactical approaches to deliverthem; works with product management to support roadmaps andarchitectural alignment to ensure the delivery of project andproduct objectives of the Ontario Health medical imaging digitalhealthprogram.
  • Resolvesbusiness rules and information and application conflicts involvingshared services applications andresources
  • Leadstechnical workstream within the OH medical imaging digital healthprogram communicating and guiding project team members witharchitecture guidance surrounding assets business and technicalaspects.

GeneralSkills

  • Experiencewith medical imaging technologies and solutions including DICOM andNonDICOM data archives repositories and associated databasetechnologies communication protocols and interoperabilitystandards.
  • Experiencein developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models)specializing in medical imaging solutions that are provinciallyscalable.
  • Leadershipexperience in the development and implementation of cloudbasedsolution architectures at the specified experience level
  • Experiencein the use of data and process modelling methodologies techniquesand tools including a working knowledge of metadata structuresrepository functions and data dictionaries.
  • Awarenessof emerging I&IT trends and directions specifically inmedical imaging enterprisesolutions
  • Excellentanalytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; verbal andwritten communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

Education

  • Bachelors or Master s degree or equivalent working experience inInformation Technology isrequired.
  • 10years experience as a Solution Architect in medical imagingtechnology solutions involved in daytoday technical and businesswork representing asset(s) in discussions for broader solutions andguiding integration with / use of system / domain isrequired.
  • Knowledgeof Ontario Health and the broader Ontario health care sector ITsystems to ensure product dependencies are identified andmanaged.
  • Knowledgeof Architectural disciplines such as Business ApplicationInformation Infrastructure Privacy and / orSecurity.
  • Knowledgeof service management control and architecture frameworks such asITIL PMBOK COBIT Zachman TOGAF Rational and / orAgile.
  • Knowledgeof Legislative boundaries and privacy regulations unique to OntarioandCanada.
  • Knowledgeof Patient safetyconsiderations.
  • Knowledgeof Public Sector procurement legislation policies andpractices.

  • Abilityto stay abreast of provincial national and international businesstechnology architecture and solution designtrends.

Requirements

Musthaves :

10years experience as a Solution Architect leading the developmentand deployment of large scale medical imaging / diagnostic imagingtechnology solutions and projects;

and their integration withenterprise services (example terminology services patient identityservices)

  • Diagnosticimaging clinical pathways reliant upon diagnostic imagingrepositories Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) andHospital Information Systems(HIS)
  • HL7V2 or FHIR specific medical imaging / diagnosticimaging.
  • 7years experience defining requirements for execute and participatein public sector fair procurementprocesses.
