Director of Procurement

Randstad Staffing is currently looking for an experienced Purchasing / Procurement Professional to join a fast-growing organization with a family feel in the North-West of Winnipeg.

The successful candidate reports directly to the President of the company and will oversee all buying activities including a team of around 10 people.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the day-to-day operations in the procurement department
• Actively participating as part of the senior leadership team
• Providing strategic direction to the team
• Increasing efficiency, negotiating with vendors while finding cost-saving opportunities
• Liaise with internal departments
• Creating and implementing internal policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar role as a Director or Manager
• Very organized, efficient and resourceful - proven track record in increasing efficiency
• Ability to juggle competing priorities, leading a team and experience with setting directions
• Outstanding work ethic with a great sense of urgency
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic planning experience with a focus on cost savings
• Comfortable with analyzing, validating, and managing large amounts of data
