Assistant Night Manager (Full Time)
Reporting to the Night Manager, the Assistant Night Manager is responsible for assisting the Night Manager with nightly tasks, and in their absence ensures we provide the highest level of guest service and ensuring that standards are maintained during the overnight period.
The Assistant Night Manager will be responsible for the entire hotel and act on behalf of the General Manager during this time frame, in the absence of the Night Manager.
What you will be doing :
- Responsible for overseeing night audit operations and managing the hotel in the Night Manager's absence.
- Provide excellent guest service and assist with Front Desk tasks, including check-in and checkout.
- Ensure compliance with Front Office policies, and complete nightly end-of-day reports, balancing accounts accurately.
- Support and motivate the night team, including performance evaluations and crisis management when necessary.
- Ensure a safe work environment, following health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and interdepartmental communication effectively, while completing administrative tasks as directed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include :
- Minimum 2 years' previous supervisory experience in Front Office operations
- Experience as Assistant Night Manager beneficial
- Proven ability to guide and coach team members
- An operational knowledge and proficiency in Property Management System (Micros-Fidelio) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent leadership, written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior leadership and coaching skills with a proven track record of developing and motivating career-minded professionals.
- Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required.
- Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while considering all aspects of the job i.e. Financial, Operational, Human Resources
- A working knowledge of a third language and its application in the hotel and hospitality operation is an asset
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.

Salary Range : $40,500 - $60,700 CAD Gross Annually
