The Opportunity :

We’re looking for a Credit Officer to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Credit the Credit Officer will be instrumental in ensuring that requirements of the regulators are satisfied by enforcing efficient / effective monitor and control on retail credit for our IIROC full brokerage platform.

What your day looks like :

  • Review and authorize cheques, EFTs and wires based on risk management and AML regulations
  • Daily monitoring of credit, registered debits and margin accounts based on firm policy
  • Review and approve internal / external transfers which have credit related ramifications
  • Monitor daily security concentration levels
  • Assist in capital and credit reporting
  • Complete other assigned projects

Requirements

Your experience and skills :

  • Post secondary degree
  • Completion of CSC is an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of credit experience with the securities industry
  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible to meet changing needs and manage deadlines
  • Customer focused, ability to build and maintain relationship
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
