Loader Operator

GFL Environmental is looking for a Loader / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Delta, BC!

The successful candidate will safely operate and / or have the ability to operate a loader to bale, load and move compost from one location to another.

Please note : This is an afternoon shift starting at 2 pm Saturdays included.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate a loader to bale and load compost.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.
• Grease / lubricate equipment, check and add fluids to equipment daily
• Maintain appearance of the grounds and facility.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.

Requirements :

• Successfully operate a loader to move compost around.
• Ability to operate other heavy equipment an asset.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions and work under little supervision.
• Must be able to frequently lift / push / pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift / push / pull up to 50 pounds.
