Toromont Cat is looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our shop! As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for servicing a particular line of Caterpillar equipment and components in our shop.
Your day will include planning, trouble shooting and repairing, as well as, preparing necessary service reports for customers.

In a typical day, YOU will :
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Repair and service Caterpillar and all heavy equipment within the established standards
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner
- Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication
- Undertake assignments as required in support of customer needs
Must-haves for this role :
- Minimum post-secondary education
- Valid Trade license / certification (421A, 310T, 425A, 310S); and / or 3 to 5 years of diagnosing and repairing Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment experience will be considered
- Minimum 3-5 years of service experience related to Heavy Duty Equipment
