About the Opportunity

Our client, an International law firm, has an immediate need for a fluently bilingual Quebec Called litigation associate with 3 to 10 years’ experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Work on a variety of files in the areas of civil and commercial litigation in French and English
  • Provide in depth pragmatic analysis and merits of litigation to clients and work as effective business partners with same
  • Bring cases to mediation and / or trial process where merited
  • Take a teamwork approach throughout the litigation process
  • Provide specific advice to clients in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and construction litigation
  • Provide mentorship to junior lawyers

About You

The successful candidate will have the following :

  • 3 to 10 years’ experience in civil and commercial litigation
  • Be a member of the Quebec Bar
  • Be a member of the Ontario Bar (an asset)
  • Be fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken
  • Exceptional organizational and client servicing skills
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to convey complex matters in a simple manner
  • Experience in bankruptcy / insolvency litigation and construction litigation (an asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
