Our client is an ICI Construction Management company who has been around for 15+ years and focuses on a wide variety of projects across the Greater Toronto Area.
They are seeking a talented individual for the position of Director of Project Management , who can oversee and lead their project management department.
Your new role
Reporting into the ownership group, the Director of Project Management will oversee 20 plus individuals, including project managers and coordinators.
They will be responsible for :
- Overseeing all project management activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Managing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
- Collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success.
- Monitoring project success and performance to identify any areas for improvements.
- Preparing and presenting project status reports to Senior Management.
- Helping to hire, develop, mentor, and train new Project Managers or Coordinators joining the team.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Director of Project Management candidate will have at least 10 years in the industry managing ICI construction projects, both base build and commercial interiors.
Additionally, they will :
- Have experience managing or leading teams.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Be an exceptional communicator and have the ability to work with both internal and external teams, including clients, consultants, architects, and engineers.
- Hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
