Overview

The Sr. Manager, Data Analytics will lead data analytics by driving insights and optimizing performance across the company's e-commerce platforms.

This role will focus on leveraging data to enhance customer experiences, improve conversion rates, and maximize revenue.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in e-commerce, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute against a data analytics strategy for our e-commerce brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all analytics processes.
  • Analyze customer behavior and purchasing patterns to enhance the online shopping experience.
  • Implement A / B testing and other experimental designs to measure the impact of various e-commerce initiatives.
  • Collaborate on personalization strategies to increase customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Ensure the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets from databases, spreadsheets, external systems and various e-commerce platforms.
  • Identify key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement through data analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize customer journeys, product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the e-commerce business.
  • Partner with marketing, product, finance, and IT teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure the infrastructure supports the analytics needs.
  • Manage multiple analytics projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in data analysis or a similar role
  • Proven experience in e-commerce analytics, including experience with tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. SQL, Excel, R. Python)
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, data modeling, and predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Toronto.
