Director, Finance

The Opportunity :

Flextrack is a rapidly expanding organization with operations spanning across North America. We are in search of an experienced and trusted leader to join our dynamic team as Director of Finance.

This individual will play a pivotal role in steering the financial operations of our organization, contributing significantly to our business acceleration.

Day to day you will be responsible for :

Financial Analysis & Reporting :

• Preparing, managing, analyzing and presenting financial statements
• Coordinating the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly reports
• Timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators and outside agencies
• Developing and supporting the development of other department financial plans, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow management and providing insights that will help drive the business
• Acting as a financial advisor to the executive team for planning purposes, evaluating initiatives and investments to maximize profitability and growth plans

Financial Operations :

• Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accounting
• Ensure compliance with regulations, tax laws and internal controls
• Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross-team processes
• Manage cross-border taxes and currency

Service Operations Financial Component :

Oversee and provide finance control on day-to-day financial processes related to our service delivery including but not limited to invoice generation, adjustments and regulatory / legislative financial compliance in our provided services.

Risk Management :

• Identify and evaluate organizational risks and provide recommendations
• Manage insurance coverages for the organization, including compliance

Strategic Partnerships :

Manage external relationships including banks, auditors, tax advisors, government authorities to optimize financial operations and ensure compliance

Management :

• Building and leading a high-performing finance team and liaising with the operation team
• Providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to finance staff
• Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

It would be amazing if you have :

• 7 - 10+ years of relevant experience, most recently in a senior finance management role
• Professional accounting designation (CPA)
• Experience with managing cross-national financial operations including intercompany, and both US and Canadian operations
• Experience with ERP software - Oracle NetSuite
• Previous experience at a staffing agency, MSP (Managed Service Provider), or VMS (Vendor Management System) would be an asset.
