We are looking for an outstanding Frontend Engineer to help us redefine the face of eBay. You’ll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to create great products that make a difference on one of the world’s most trafficked and loved websites.
What will you accomplish :
- Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend components and applications using React and Node.js.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create seamless and responsive web interfaces.
- Implement best practices in front-end development, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, focusing on clean, efficient code.
- Lead front-end architecture decisions, component design, and overall user experience strategy.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting a culture of high-quality coding, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in front-end development.
What you will bring :
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React and Node.js.
- Proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development tools and frameworks.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
- Strong understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
- Solid knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
- MS + 4 years of experience or bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or Other Related 4yr Technical Degree) + 6 years of experience
