Wood is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Specialist (Contract) to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC.

Salary range : CDN 172,00 - 210,00 per year

- undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register or already registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
- 15 years of experience in civil engineering design within mining, energy and / or industrial projects of varying stages from conceptual to detailed design.
- Solid experience in site development, and pipe and open channel hydraulics.
- Tailings / slurry piping design experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of various piping materials, fittings and joining methods.
- Sound knowledge in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing the ditches, culverts, and ponds.
- Experience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs is an asset.
- Good understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controls.
- Excellent organizational, technical, communication and computer skills.
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
