POSITION PURPOSE

Sustainalytics is seeking an experienced Senior ESG analyst to join its ESG Sector Research Team. This position presents an exciting opportunity to conduct company ESG risk analysis, looking at ESG risk exposure, management and controversies, and generate ESG Risk Ratings for companies worldwide.

You will join a strategically important team and contribute to the development of a vibrant community of sector analysts.

You will engage in continuous training and development programs which support your career development to become a top ESG analyst.

The ideal candidate will have a background in capital markets, ESG and Aerospace and Defense industry knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Research, analyze and rate the ESG risks and involvement in controversies of companies in the Aerospace & Defense sector.

Finalize company ESG Risk Rating reports to be published in Sustainalytics’ Global Access portal.

Research and track ESG trends and issues relevant in your sectors of expertise.

Contribute to responding to client queries and support clients in integrating your research insights into their decision-making.

Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and internal and external thought leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree; Graduate degree or CFA charter is a plus.

At least three years of experience in industry analysis, financial research, sustainable investing, or a related field.

Preferably knowledge and working experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Possess independence, critical thinking skills, and a passion for ESG investing, with a bias toward long-term fundamental research.

German language skills are considered a plus.

Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats).

Work well within a team and be capable of respectfully accepting and providing constructive feedback.
