About the job :

We are currently seeking AWS Solutions Architect Interns for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be building scalable, efficient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement / applied learning internship you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship.

It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.

What You'll Do :

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Provide architectural solutions / designs to project execution teams for implementation
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS technologies and update existing architectures to improve performance and scalability
• Lead the development of cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring strategies
• Conduct technical workshops and provide guidance on architectural best practices to other team members and stakeholders
• Contribute to the documentation of best practices and technological choices
• Experience using Notion

About You :

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional level)
• Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS
• Proficiency in AWS services like EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and others
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and AWS security services
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to innovate and challenge the conventional in the field of DevOps engineering

This is a full-time, paid internship with a minimum commitment of 3 months (520 hours). We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same.

With flexibility comes increased responsibility to this and will require a higher concentrated effort in order to be current with projects, align with your team and to extract the value this internship is engineered to award.

The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
