Senior Manager, Communications, Salesforce Canada
Full Time
We are seeking a strategic, creative and well-rounded communications expert who can hit the ground running in a 12-month maternity leave contract position.
Reporting to the Head of Canada Marketing, this individual will be responsible for leading the PR, Social Media and Blog Content & SEO functions for Canada, with the support of third party agency partners.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in corporate communications and / or social media management and content strategy (SEO is a bonus), with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for collaborating with agency partners and global cross-functional teams to implement integrated programs that drive relevance and brand awareness in the market.
This individual is a passionate corporate storyteller with a deep understanding of the tech and business landscape. They are adept at establishing fast relationships, building consensus, and possess both strategic vision and attention to detail.
They are often the last set of eyes on content and programs, and maintain a vehement commitment to upholding high brand standards across all platforms.
They have strong leadership skills, an understanding of how to collaborate with business partners across a full funnel marketing team, and an innate ability to identify areas of opportunity.
They are a critical thinker with strong multi-tasking skills and a proven ability to remain calm under pressure with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities (what you’ll be doing)
Execute public relations, social media and SEO-driven content strategies to drive brand awareness among media, business decision makers, and other relevant stakeholders in key markets
Execute a clear vision for the Communications function and deliver on relevant metrics that align to overall business goals
Provide strategic counsel to senior executives, as needed
Partner with global Salesforce PR, Social and SEO teams to ensure integration and strategic alignment
Lead and manage external partners (PR / Social agency, SEO agency, third-party writer) to plan, execute and report on strategic communications initiatives within their respective functions
Assess and oversee execution of select sponsorship and partnership opportunities to maximize company visibility
Manage and supervise efficacy, cost, and return on investment of programs and take ownership of associated budgets
Provide issues management support as needed
Required skills / experience (what you’ve accomplished) :
8-10 years of experience in communications both in a corporate and agency setting
Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and socialize ideas across functions
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can multitask, re-prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders
Can lead complex projects spanning multiple teams
Displays good judgment and uses discretion when presented with sensitive or confidential issues
Strong writing skills and experience with social media, content strategy and PR are a must
Experience working with senior executives and cross functional teams
Experience allocating and optimizing spend across tactics
