Manager, Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Business Development
As a Manager, Vocational Rehabilitation Services for Metrics Vocational Services, you would work across the country to manage multifaceted portions of our dynamic business.
This role is ideal for someone who is a big picture thinker, feels comfortable with managing a diverse team of individuals in multiple locations, as well as who can contribute to business development in our Long Term and Short-Term Disability Management and Vocational Services unit.
The Accountabilities for this position largely fall within three major domains
Business Management
- Be responsible and accountable for the overall success of all the Metrics Vocational Rehabilitation and Disability Management programs and aligned with Lifemark’s National Vocational Strategy This includes financial management, marketing and business development as well as a commitment to quality improvement
- Ensure that standards of operations are achieved in all areas. Provide active leadership, coaching and performance management to the Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants and Case Managers.
- Create / monitor / report on appropriate metrics for the Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants and Case Managers (quantity / productivity / service / quality)
- Install a climate of success within the clinics by strong, supportive leadership and a positive attitude
- In conjunction with the National Office personnel, work as a team to meet corporate and program-specific goals and objectives
- Develop, implement and monitor customer service programs to provide an outstanding experience to clients, referral sources and payers
- Develop strong relationships with Funders in Business unit
Financial
- On-going administration and cost-efficient allocation of financial resources at within each Vocational Services team
- Regular review and analysis of the financial statements including : Monitor expenses in the region, approve and manage expendituresPayroll approvalsCreation of new hire documentation, meet internal payroll submission and approval accuracy deadlines
- Take appropriate action based on the analysis of the financial and operating reports to meet and exceed each clinics targeted financial performance in consultation with the National Vocational Services Director
Clinical
- Ensure high quality service is delivered in an effective and cost-efficient manner
- Based on customer and client needs, evaluate existing programs and develop new programs that will build the business
- Facilitate a client centered approach to care
- Assist in the implementation of the outcome measurement and data collection system
Specific qualifications include :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field such as psychology, social sciences, health services, human services, rehabilitation, counselling.
- Strong knowledge of vocational rehabilitation counselling and disability management.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Long Term Disability insurance; policy and procedures.
- Solid understanding of working with people with various types of disabling conditions and barriers to returning to work or alternate work solutions.
- Vocational designation, or willingness to pursue Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) or Return to Work Disability Manager (RTWDM)
- 5+ years of Vocational Rehabilitation and Disability Management Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Managing Teams and projects
- Proven leadership skills (relationship building, adaptability, decision making, conflict management, delegation, critical thinking)
- Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and vehicle are necessary when required to travel to client meetings and for operational oversight.
