partner staffing on behalf of our Client is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer. You will be responsible for the electrical design and analysis for commercial and mixed-use projects.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that electrical systems are designed to meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

Design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems, for commercial and mixed-use buildings.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical designs with other building systems.

Participate in coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and optimize system performance.

• Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, and review their work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into electrical designs. Explore and implement innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption and enhance system performance.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations. Present design concepts, provide technical recommendations, and address any client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the quality control process for electrical design and installation. Conduct site inspections to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare detailed electrical design documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commercial and mixed- use projects.
• Experience in the Vancouver or BC market is preferred.
• Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP).
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Certifications : Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia is required.
