Are you a First Nations, Metis, or Inuit professional with extensive experience in the technical field?

We're looking for you to join our team as a QA Engineer in Toronto, ON.

As the Engineer, you'll be overseeing and coordinating the testing of medium to large projects across multiple delivery channels and platforms while assessing risks and quality for over 100 existing applications.

Your responsibilities include managing multiple projects concurrently, developing and maintaining a deep understanding of various banking applications and their interfaces.

Additionally, knowledge of UAT methodology, procedures, and standards is crucial. You will also be assessing individual project needs and collaborating closely with Development, Configuration / Code Management, and environment teams to establish and coordinate a stable testing environment.

Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit

  • Strong oral / written communication skills
  • Ability to supervise business application testing across various platforms including Host 4700 / 3270, IMS, AS / 400, Client / Server, and Windows
  • Extensive understanding of code management, server and application layering, environment configuration, and databases
  • Proficient in diagnosing software faults and utilizing Point of Sale devices, Visa Test Simulator (VTS), and automation tools
  • Strong working knowledge of PCs and department-related software
  • Experience in testing with Web interfaces, GUI, and green screen emulation
  • Familiarity with automation tools and experience in using automation scripts for project testing
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to project testing and assessment of UAT projects
  • Ability to design test plans, assign and review test documentation, and balance testing resources
  • Skilled in coordinating resources, people, and environments to meet project requirements
  • Proven track record in resolving defects and escalating issues as necessary
  • Ability to transfer application and process expertise to junior analysts and provide hands-on training
  • Proficiency in maintaining a current understanding of banking applications, UAT processes, and technical advice to development teams
  • Capacity to forecast workday estimates, monitor resource demands, and escalate resource shortfalls or conflicts
  • Proactive approach to enhancing personal expertise and recommending process improvements
