Director of Operations

THE ROLE :

• Team Management : Manage a direct team of two across fulfillment, operations & planning and customer service and work closely with regulatory and other partners.
• Product Development : With the Founder and CEO, manage the entire product development and packaging process working closely with third-party manufacturing partners, co-packers, and compliance agencies ensuring the success and support of the company's quarterly and annual goals with new products and concepts that are aligned with the vision and mission of the company.
• Operation & Supply Chain : Oversee supply chain inclusive of all logistics, imports / exports, and purchasing working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL warehousing team.

Manage the internal Operations team including day-to-day fulfillment and production operations, open production order management, wholesale fulfillment, EDI management and customer service.

Oversee all B2B and D2C fulfillment for Sahajan.

Finance & Purchasing : Oversee all production purchasing and lead all production forecasting working closely with the Operations Lead for assurance of accurate and smart purchasing to maintain healthy inventory levels.

Manage internal COGS and target margins, both DTC and wholesale, including cost negotiations, monthly and annual inventory evaluations, and 3PL warehousing fees.

HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

• Bachelor’s degree is Business or related field.
• Beauty industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Marketplaces including Amazon is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer goods with a successful track record in product development, supply chain management and forecasting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with the internal team, as well as with manufacturing and raw material supply partners.
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and B2B fulfillment is essential.
• Familiarity with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) management is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to product information and the ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong computer and analytic skills.
