Summary:

  • Location: Montreal
  • Work Mode: Onsite (Day 1 onboarding onsite/in office presence 3x/week)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between business clients and development teams in all phases of development from solution definition to deployment.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and system specifications.
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of multiple distributed applications.
  • Contribute to 24x7 availability and scalability of the solutions.
  • Analyze existing designs and interfaces and create design extensions or enhancements.
  • Design and enhance UIs with a focus on the user experience.
  • Test software designs and solutions, including debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Promote the company’s values and set an example for team members, upholding those values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Angular/React.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer with strong analytical and programming skills.
  • Relevant experience with business requirements, structured analysis, process design, UML process, and use case definition.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, TDD, BDD, and continuous integration.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of Technology and Business groups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent understanding of OOP, design patterns, Unit testing, Multithreading, Inversion of Control, microservices.
  • Proficiency in HTML5 technologies, Typescript, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, Angular, React.
  • Experience with GIT, Runway, Jenkins, Jira.
  • Knowledge of SpringBoot Java 8 versions.
  • Experience with PostgresSQL, DB2, MongoDB.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on Agile Methodology.
  • Any Cloud experience is a plus, such as AWS or Azure.
