About the Opportunity :

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in managing the company’s outgoing payments and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor accounts. This individual will collaborate closely with the finance and operations teams to maintain records, track expenses, and uphold strong relationships with suppliers. Entry level professionals who are eager to learn and contribute to our team are welcome .

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with account team to maintain A / P performance and meet deadlines
  • Accurately enter data and post high-volume invoices ( i.e. PO, subcontract and non-PO)
  • Ensure invoices match purchase orders for processing project-related invoices
  • Review bills for potential error and discrepancies
  • Obtain approval of invoices prior to payment
  • Process weekly payment session in the system
  • Responding to internal & external inquiries
  • Communicates with suppliers / vendors when necessary, to correct and modify invoices / payments
  • Manage all vendor accounts; reconcile vendor statements
  • Collect, enter, and audit supplier / vendor information and timecard data in system
  • Reviews and processes accounts payable transactions accurately and timely , ensuring proper procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Assist with year-end accruals and audits
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality of financial records as they are related to ABI and its sister sites, customers / suppliers.

  • Qualifications :
  • Education :

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience :
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP).

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel
  • Soft Skills :
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and strong organizational skills.
