About The Role

Our client is seeking to hire a Fulltime Permanent nanny to care for their 18monthold twin boys in Toronto.

  • Location : Etobicoke ON Near Royal York Subway Line
  • Children : 2 children : 18monthold twin boys.
  • Role Type : Fulltime permanent position.
  • Start Date : Target start date is June 10 2024 to coincide with the parents return to work on June 17th.
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday 8 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm. End time will be 7 pm 12 days per week.
  • Travel Expectations : The family requires the nanny to accompany them for 48 weeks per year to their family cottage and may engage in some international travel if the nanny is interested.
  • Compensation : $60000 $70000 annually.

About The Family

The family consists of a mom her 18monthold twin boys their grandmother and a Morkie dog. They are easygoing and value connectedness approaching their children with love understanding and a sympathetic approach.

The grandmother and housekeeper are often around and involved throughout the day and they take a collaborative approach towards caring for the boys.

The Perfect Caregiver

The ideal nanny should thrive in a team environment be physically fit to care for 2 active toddlers and have a positive cando attitude.

They should be friendly fun active organized and knowledgeable about early childhood development. Communication skills are essential as the nanny will work closely with other caregivers and family members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete care for the twin boys including creating a safe nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • Plan and engage in ageappropriate activities to foster growth and development including accompanying the boys to scheduled activities out of the home.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for the children following any dietary preferences or restrictions.
  • Perform light household tasks related to the children such as tidying up toys and doing childrens laundry.
  • Accompany the family on trips and outings including travel to their cottage in Tiny Ontario and potential international travel.

Requirements

  • Experience caring for toddlers
  • Experience caring for twins a strong asset
  • First Aid / CPR certification
  • COVID19 vaccination
  • Nonsmoker
  • Comfortable being around animals (the family has a Morkie 3 cats and a dwarf bunny)
  • Previous nanny experience strongly preferred
  • Early Childhood Education certification an asset
  • Degree or diploma in ECE Child and Youth Care Psychology PSW or another relevant study area is an asset
  • Postsecondary education in Early Childhood Education
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel at least 34 weeks per year. Opportunity for more travel based on the nannys interest

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Proven child care experience with references.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
  • ECE certification or other training in childcare and development preferred
  • Previous nanny experience preferred
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID19

1+ years ' experience with toddlers. Previous nanny experience preferred. First Aid and CPR certification preferred Preference for nanny to either live close by or have reliable transportation.

Strong references Currently eligible to work in Canada COVID-19 vaccination preferred
