Excel Personnel has been retained by a reputable organization in Prince Rupert, BC within the social services sector to identify their next Executive Director .
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading the overall management and administration of the Society, guided by the Board of Directors.
Your role will involve driving mission fulfillment, strategic planning, and program development, while fostering strong community connections.
Additionally, you will oversee the organization's programs and activities, serving as the primary representative to stakeholders and funders.
Responsibilities :
- Board Reporting :
- Gather and present information to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Keep the Board abreast of significant issues affecting service delivery.
- Manage orientation for new Board Members.
- Strategic Planning :
- Assist in setting short and long-term goals for the organization.
- Develop and implement policies aligned with our client’s objectives.
- Contract Management :
- Negotiate contracts with funders and ensure program consistency with funding mandates.
- Finance Management :
- Draft and monitor annual operating budget, providing regular financial updates to the Board.
- Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities.
- Human Resource Management :
- Oversee all aspects of HR, fostering a competent and professional staff team.
- Establish clear communication and responsibility channels.
- Maintain positive labor relations and compliance with union regulations.
- Stakeholder Relations :
- Cultivate relationships with diverse community sectors, government bodies, and businesses
- Enhance our client’s visibility through community activities and media representation.
- Accreditation :
- Lead accreditation processes to maintain organizational excellence.
- Implement mechanisms for continuous service quality improvement.
Qualifications :
- Master’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration.
- Demonstrated leadership with integrity.
- 5+ years of nonprofit management experience.
- Proficiency in budget management, strategic planning, and program development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising strategies.
- Ability to motivate and engage stakeholders.
- Proficient in public speaking and employee oversight.
Employment Details :
- Salary starting at $125,000 / annum, negotiable based on experience.
