We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Sales Finance Manager.

Position Summary / Objective :

As the Sales Finance Manager ( SFM ), your primary focus will be the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of gross revenue results and forecasts as well as trade spend planning, monitoring, reconciliation.

You will also play a key role in system trade add-ons in SAP, and support the trade roadmap journey of future enhancements, systems and processes.

This role will work closely the Canadian and US Commercial Sales teams.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and report on gross revenue and trade promotions, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of promotional trade spend with customers
  • Manage all components of the trade accruals to ensure investment is properly reported and recorded in SAP
  • Track the accuracy of the accruals vs. deductions by customer. Assist to monitor trends related to lead time changes that cause pricing and spend discrepancies related to shipments
  • Own key period-end activities related to gross revenue and trade spend, including reconciliation of general ledgers tied to accounts and development of monthly reports.
  • Maintain customer pricing conditions in SAP to reflect latest trade spend information. Key team member in the governance of pricing conditions including off-invoice and trade deductions including but not limited to pick up allowances, pricing adjustments, listing fees, program fees and promotions
  • Manage gross revenue and trade spend quarterly and monthly forecast process, working closely with Commercial Teams and Customer Finance to understand performance drivers.
  • Support the annual planning process, partnering with Customer Finance Managers and Commercial Teams. Manage models to consolidate total gross revenue and trade builds to report on finalized net revenue targets.
  • Guide the development and implementation of trade policies, processes, and strategies to ensure best practices are maintained for Trade integrity, accuracy, and maintenance all with the goal of achieving annual objectives.

Support training for Commercial Sales Team as required

  • Drive process simplification and improvements within the finance and commercial teams, including leading the implementation of new systems and tools.
  • Manage, review, coach and motivate two direct reports (finance analysts), building a collaborative and engaging team environment.

Key Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree (business, finance or accounting specialization preferred)
  • Accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial reporting and analytics at a consumer-packaged goods company, including relevant gross sales and trade spend experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating the ability to coach, develop and engage a team
  • Experience working with an ERP system to plan and report gross revenue and trade spend
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau and SAC BI are asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to work efficiently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced business environment with ambiguity.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills
