Key Responsibilities
1. Product Vision & Strategy
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Translate high-level business objectives into detailed product features and user stories.
- Continuously refine the product roadmap to meet changing market and customer needs.
2. Backlog Management
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects business priorities and stakeholder requirements.
- Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria that guide the development process.
- Ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood by all stakeholders.
3. Agile Team Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and agile development teams, ensuring that the team understands the product vision and priorities.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Make real-time decisions to clarify requirements, adjust priorities, and remove impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business leaders, customers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define product features.
- Communicate product progress, changes, and release plans to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Facilitate feedback loops to incorporate customer and stakeholder insights into product development.
5. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use data analytics, market research, and customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize features.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and guide future enhancements.
- Conduct A / B testing and analysis to validate product assumptions and optimize user experience.
6. Product Delivery & Go-to-Market
- Define release plans and coordinate product launches in collaboration with marketing, sales, and support teams.
- Ensure that new features are thoroughly tested, documented, and communicated to end-users.
- Support change management initiatives and training to drive user adoption.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Champion agile best practices, including iterative development, continuous feedback, and incremental delivery.
- Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, agile methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance product strategy.
Key Requirements
1. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.
g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an agile environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product backlogs and delivering products in a fast-paced, agile setting.
2. Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and product management principles.
- Proficiency with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to drive data-driven decisions.
- Basic technical knowledge of software development processes, APIs, and system integrations is a plus.
