About Us :

Flourish Health Services is a strengths-based pediatric hub in the heart of the Beaches in Toronto that supports children, youth, and their families.

We provide assessment, counselling, and consultation services related to children, adolescents, and adults. Our interdisciplinary team consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Social Workers, Psychologists, and Doctoral Associates.

Our Client Experience and Scheduling Coordinators work closely with families and clinicians to provide integrated services and support.

Job Type : Contract

Salary : Competitive and commensurate with experience

Qualifications :

• Master's Degree in Social Work with experience in pediatric treatment and assessment.
• An understanding of and compliance with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) practice standards.
• Experience working with children and their families who have various backgrounds, mental health needs, and neurodiversity.
• Use of therapeutic approaches grounded in empirical evidence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work as an effective member of an interprofessional team.
• Ability to effectively manage cases including client work, case notes, and administrative responsibilities.
• Ability to reliably commute to the clinic site.

Job Duties and Expectations :

• Assessment and treatment of individuals within the defined scope of practice of a Social Worker in Ontario
• Ensuring that informed consent is provided by the client / advocate.
• Necessary reporting within the standard set by the OCSWSSW.
• Abiding by known privacy and confidentiality laws.
• Although most of your work hours will be during the day, there is the option to work evenings and weekends.
• Work schedule is flexible so long as it meets the needs of clients.
• There is the option to perform a portion of the work from home. Although we see many clients face to face, we are also set up to provide secure remote services via videoconferencing.
• Must work effectively as an integral part of an interprofessional team to provide the social work lens in case and program consultation.
• Provide evidence-based therapy to clients with a variety of mental health concerns.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Complete regular and ongoing professional development as set out by OCSWSSW guidelines.
