Profile : Our client provides professional services, technical in nature and is looking for a business development rep in Montreal to find and develop new business.
We sell technical facilities management services, 3rd party maintenance and technical professional services to manufacturers.
We prefer someone with a bachelor's degree in engineering and a track record of successful selling of similar services.
Territory : Province of Quebec, mostly Montreal and surroundings
Workplace : Hybrid : 2 days on the road, 2 days home office and 1 day Montreal office
Products / Services : Professional Technical Services
Salary : Base $100,000-$130,000
Commissions / Bonus : $125,000 annually + uncapped commissions
Car allowance : $550 / month
Expense’s reimbursement : All expenses including customer events covered by company with company credit card

Functions :
- identify opportunities with consultants
- identify and prospect manufacturers within Quebec
- engage with C suite, operations managers and influencers to the sales cycle
- follow up on leads, develop and engage internal resources
- conduct presentations to prospects and partners
- attend industry events and stay in contact with potential clients and partners
- collaborate with internal resources during the proposal phases
Requirements :
Development vs Maintenance : 80% vs 20%
Road vs Office : 2 days on the road, 2 days home office and 1 day Montreal office
Languages : French and English (written and spoken)
Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field
Training : Full onboarding program lasting 3 weeks
Overnight Travel : occasionally
Years of experience : Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in strategic business development in the B to B service sector
Other requirements :
- ability to sell multi-year contracts
- ability to sell a strategic solution to C suite
- ability to sell within a sales cycle of 6 to 12 months and longer
Transferable contacts : Contacts within the Quebec manufacturing industry is necessary
Transferable Knowledge : knowledge of the manufacturing industry within Quebec
