What will your typical day look like?

As a Cloud Security Operations Engineer, you will :

• Be responsible for gathering technical requirements, building solutions, and executing on strategic themes addressing Deloitte policies around Private and Public Cloud solutions.
• Lead and coordinate the work of an integrated project team comprised of multiple technical disciplines, including developers, subject matter experts, database administrators, system administrators, and system architects to implement and maintain enterprise-level information technology solutions.
• Champion automation utilizing orchestrator tools, services, and scripting languages including but not limited to; Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell / Bash, PowerShell in conjunction with cloud native APIs and SDKs to build and operate security solutions.
• Remediate cloud service misconfigurations, provide security agent installation troubleshooting and efficiencies while maintaining operational excellence.

As a Cloud Security Operations Engineer, you have :

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems Security, or equivalent professional experience.
• Four (4) or more years of experience in the following areas :
• Designing, deploying, and operating security infrastructure and services within AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Programming in Python, Shell / Bash, PowerShell and / or other scripting languages with a focus on automation.
• Application and / or infrastructure security solution development leveraging Cloud Service Provider API's and SDK's and other cloud resource management
• Two (2) or more years of experience in the following areas : Utilizing DevSecOps best practices such as Infrastructure as Code, CI / CD pipelines development, security testing (shift-left), multi-environment (prod vs non-prod) with orchestration and automation at the center.

Security services and agent management, remediation of vulnerability assessments and general hardening and monitoring of Linux and Windows systems.

Participating or interfacing with Security Operations Center (SOC) and / or Incident Response (IR) teams. Successfully operated within Agile environment in accordance with Scrum best practices supporting large scale enterprise Cloud projects from ideation to production.

A background in general security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, multi-factor authentication, security information and event management (SIEM), Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and related technologies.

Preferred Skills / Certification :

• Security or Architecture Certification from one of the following : AWS, Azure, GCP
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Broad knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CSA, ISO, MITRE, and Well-Architected Cloud Frameworks or other relevant security-related regulations.
