Job description

Adecco is currently recruiting an Intermediate Computer Application Support professional for a full-time onsite contract in Ottawa, Ontario.

This role focuses on rebuilding and enhancing a bilingual (English / French) SharePoint Communications site while ensuring strong user experience, accessibility, and governance. Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
Location : Ottawa, ON (100% Onsite)
Job Type : Full-time | Temporary Contract
Shifts : Monday-Friday | 8am-4 : 30pm
Security Requirement : Reliability Level Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities :

Rebuild the OJAG Communications SharePoint site to support full bilingual (English / French) functionality using best practices for language toggling and navigation

Review the current OJAG SharePoint structure and identify gaps in bilingual support and governance

Improve site structure and user experience by refining existing pages, creating new pages, and configuring workflows and features as required

Document requirements for bilingual toggle functionality and news site separation

Develop and propose a revised site architecture and navigation plan

Configure language variations or alternate bilingual approaches (e.g., linked language sites)

Apply OJAG branding while ensuring compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and security standards

Create a dedicated SharePoint site for OJAG News Posts

Migrate existing News Posts, including workflows, to the new site

Configure permissions to restrict editing rights on main pages

Improve existing pages for clarity, usability, and consistency

Build additional pages as requested (resources, FAQs, team directories, etc.)

Implement SharePoint web parts and out-of-the-box features to enhance functionality

Validate bilingual functionality, navigation, permissions, and governance settings

Ensure mobile responsiveness and full accessibility compliance

Requirements :

Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

Certificate, diploma, or degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution

Minimum 1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) working with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)

Minimum 1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) designing, configuring, and customizing SharePoint Online sites, including architecture, navigation, and permissions

Minimum 1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) implementing bilingual (English / French) navigation and content structures in SharePoint Online

Minimum 1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) in content migration and governance, including site restructuring and permission models

Minimum 1 year of experience (within the last 5 years) focused on UX improvements, page design, web part configuration, and accessibility compliance

Ability to obtain or currently hold a Reliability Level Security Clearance
