What You’ll Be Doing
Support all aspects of hospitality‑style dining service, utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve ProgramAssist with preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the ChefMaintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation during food preparation and service, as required by the health departmentPromote and track a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed proceduresComply with provincial regulations, food and beverage department policies, and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour readyParticipate in emergency drills and attend all education sessions related to emergency preparednessWork in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety ActWhat You Need To Know
Must have the Smart Serve designation or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year of dining‑room service experienceAbility to work independently and / or as part of a teamPreferred : Safe Food Handling CertificationExperience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process is an assetProven customer service skills for residents from diverse cultural backgroundsEffective verbal and written English communication skills requiredSienna Senior Living may utilize artificial intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position.
