What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support all aspects of hospitality‑style dining service, utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program
  • Assist with preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef
  • Maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation during food preparation and service, as required by the health department
  • Promote and track a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures
  • Comply with provincial regulations, food and beverage department policies, and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready
  • Participate in emergency drills and attend all education sessions related to emergency preparedness
  • Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

    • What You Need To Know

  • Must have the Smart Serve designation or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year of dining‑room service experience
  • Ability to work independently and / or as part of a team
  • Preferred : Safe Food Handling Certification
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process is an asset
  • Proven customer service skills for residents from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required
