Job description

A premier manufacturing facility has a full-time opportunity for a Welder-Fitter in Kitchener. Earning $26 to $32 per hour, you will perform MIG welding and custom fitting on truck decks, hoppers, and heavy-duty steel components within the manufacturing industry. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding with .035 wire on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, and vertical-down positions.
- Read blueprints and fit components both by hand and using fixtures.
- Fabricate truck decks, compactor stands, and hoppers using I-beams and sheet steel.
- Execute mechanical assembly tasks as required within the Kitchener facility.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with MIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
- Proven ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Prior experience as a Welder-Fitter performing high-volume component layout and fitting.
- Practical knowledge of structural fabrication methods within the manufacturing sector in Kitchener.
