The Data Integration Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of robust Finance, HR, Projects, Procurement and Sales/CRM data integrations between our core SaaS business systems and our enterprise data lake. The role will involve working with sources like Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow and target platforms including our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring data quality, reliability, and accessibility for analytics and reporting. This role will work closely with the Senior Business Analyst, SaaS Data & Analytics to build and design the solutions that meet technical integration specifications and business requirements and will work with Finance, HR, Projects, Procurement and Sales/CRM resources to understand, load and test the data.

Development and Implementation

  • Design, develop, test, and implement high-performance, scalable data pipelines, connectors and integrations to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from SaaS platforms (Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow) into the Snowflake data lake.

  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to ensure efficient data manipulation and transformation within the integrations that feed into the Snowflake environment.

  • Build and optimize data models within Snowflake for high-performance querying.

  • Ensure data privacy during integrations using masking and/or other anonymization/aggregation technology

  • Ensure data security during integrations using the most secure authentication and encryption technologies supported by the platforms involved

  • Design and orchestrate complex integrations across iPaaS platforms, APIs, and other enterprise data services.

  • Build monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automated testing for pipelines and operations.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst and other technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.

  • Automate and optimize data integration processes for speed and reliability, monitoring and tuning existing pipelines as needed.


Testing, Quality Assurance, and Support

  • Help develop detailed unit and integration test plans, scripts, and execute testing to ensure the accuracy and integrity of integrated data.

  • Support the full business testing cycle, including providing technical support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) led by the Senior Business Analyst.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, ETL/ELT specifications, and process guides.


Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Partner closely with the Senior Business Analyst, SaaS Data & Analytics and other technical stakeholders to ensure alignment between integration solutions and business analytics needs.

  • Adhere to and promote best practices for data governance, security, and quality throughout the data integration lifecycle.

  • Act as the functional subject matter expert (SME) during the design, development, and implementation phases of new analytics capabilities.

  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating SaaS source data into the analytics platform.

Must Have(s)

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data integration, ETL/ELT development, and data warehousing.

  • Expert-level experience with SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and performance tuning.

  • Demonstrated experience developing data integrations from enterprise SaaS applications, such as Workday, Salesforce, or ServiceNow.

  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehousing technologies, specifically Snowflake.

  • Experience with one or more ETL/data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory).

  • Experience with AWS Data Integration tools like Managed Airflow, Lambda, etc.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data pipeline design.

  • Proven experience working in an Agile-based project environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an ability to work independently.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Salary Range: 105K/year - 115K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
