Responsibilities
-
Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, shop equipment, and facility infrastructure, including welding, cutting, and sandblasting equipment

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues involving motors, control panels, lighting, and gearboxes
-
Conduct overhead crane inspections and repairs
-
Work in physically demanding industrial environments, including working at heights using AWP and fall-arrest systems
-
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
-
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
-
Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and PCL affiliates for shop and facility repairs
-
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work practices
Qualifications
- Electrician ticket or equivalent combination of electrical training and industrial experience required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work

Experience working on industrial job sites and in varied environmental conditions

Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
-
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret building drawings, schematics, and technical documents

Overhead crane repair experience considered an asset

Experience working at heights (AWP and fall arrest certification preferred)

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience considered an asset

Plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC experience considered a strong asset
