Job description
HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Release Integration Engineer - Manufacturing/End of Line to support the controlled integration and release of software and firmware for manufacturing and end-of-line (EOL) systems.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Release Management, Firmware, Infrastructure, and Integration Engineering teams to manage the flow of validated software changes into manufacturing and EOL branches. This is a hands-on integration and release engineering role, with approximately 60% focused on technical execution (Git, Linux, testing, and triage) and 40% on coordination, communication, and release processes.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, and process-driven, with strong Git and Linux experience and the ability to manage software releases in a fast-paced engineering environment.
As a Release Integration Engineer - Manufacturing/End of Line, you'll:- Manage the integration of validated software changes into manufacturing and EOL branches using disciplined multi-branch Git workflows.
- Cherry-pick, merge, and validate code changes while maintaining branch integrity and supporting release readiness.
- Execute Build Integrity and EOL test suites, analyze results, reproduce failures, and coordinate issue resolution with engineering teams.
- Tag, package, and publish validated software and firmware releases, including clear release notes and change logs.
- Protect homologation-sensitive branches by ensuring only validated changes are promoted into production-ready releases.
- Communicate daily release status, support go/no-go decisions, and coordinate cross-functional activities to keep releases on schedule.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with Linux command-line environments and advanced Git workflows, including cherry-picking, conflict resolution, and multi-branch development
- Strong technical understanding of complex hardware and software systems
- Experience executing, analyzing, and triaging software or system-level tests
- Strong process discipline and excellent written communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional activities, manage priorities under time constraints, and exercise sound technical judgment
Bonus Qualifications:- Experience with software release engineering, build engineering, integration, or manufacturing test environments within automotive, robotics, hardware, or similar industries
- Familiarity with CI systems, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, Docker, containers, or firmware deployment workflows
- Experience with Jira, structured release or change management processes, and embedded systems concepts such as CAN, Ethernet, or ECUs
Benefits:- Pre-tax commuter benefits
- Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
- Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
- HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
