Job Purpose andImpact :

The Sr. Market DevelopmentAgronomist will partner with sales leadership and other members ofthe location team to develop and provide agronomic and cropproduction solutions for our farm customers to help furthercommercial goals.

In this role you will be involved in new productdevelopment and positioning to develop the assignedmarket.

KeyAccountabilities :

  • Serve asthe domain specialist in crop production for the site to mentordevelop present training and become a source for internal andexternal clients for crop production.
  • Executeon organizations crop input market development plans byparticipating in customer field meetings coordinated product trialscustomer agronomy events marketing support and delivery of cropplanning services.
  • Develop and maintainstrategic relationships with our key crop inputsuppliers.
  • Provide vision for the geographicregion using domain specialist knowledge in agronomy to identifynew crop opportunities for the organization and our customersdriving incremental revenue.
  • Partner withexisting and prospective customers collaborating with locationsales teams focusing on crop planning seed selection nutrient weeddisease and harvest management to help them produce better crops bymaking sound crop production and risk managementdecisions.
  • Independently handle complex issueswith minimal supervision while escalating only the most complexissues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties asassigned.

MinimumQualifications :

  • Diploma / Certificate or Bachelors degree in agronomyrelated field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years of directly related workexperience.
  • Eligible for membership in theProvincial Institute of Agrologists. Future requirement will be toobtain CCA accreditation.
  • Have proven workingknowledge of plants crops and soil management and relatedareas
  • Ability to work overtime and weekendswhen needed.
  • Must be legally entitled to workfor Cargill in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proficiency with the MS Officesuite
  • Active listening and verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • CCA or PAgdesignation.
  • Experience influencing internaland external customer behavior.

Position Information :

  • Relocation assistance will be provided forthis position.
  • This position is based in thePeace River area covering Rycroft Fairview McLennan and Manningarea.
