Job Overview
Join Ontario Health atHome as a Bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologist for a temporary full‑time assignment (August 7, 2026 – 2 months) focused on stroke rehabilitation in home, school, and nursing home settings at Bells Corners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate speech therapy treatment plans for Ontario Health atHome Champlain patients.
- Schedule treatment visits aligned with patient priorities.
- Keep the Care Coordinator informed of client progress through verbal and written reports.
- Act as a multidisciplinary team member, maintaining client records and providing reports per Ontario Health atHome policies.
- Teach clients, families, and team members the treatment program and management.
- Provide therapy to long‑term care home residents meeting admission criteria.
- Maintain supplies and recommend equipment within budget limits.
- Participate in committees as approved and engage in professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech Therapy and current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech‑Language Pathologists of Ontario.
- Two years of professional experience in an SLP role; community‑based experience is an asset.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Valid driver’s licence and vehicle access.
- COVID‑19 vaccination proof prior to start date.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of Ontario Health atHome Champlain operations, policies, and strategic direction.
- Understanding of relevant health legislation and partner agencies.
- Effective planning, organization, and documentation skills.
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid N95 mask fit test results or documented medical exception.
- Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months.
Benefits and Compensation
