Role Summary
The Reports Coordinator ensures the provision of efficient administrative services and procedures. The Reports Coordinator is responsible for working with the clinical staff and all members of the team to effectively coordinate reports work flow within a timely manner, and within customer guidelines, KPIs and SHIs.
This entails full quality assurance administrative duties, for all product lines including Property and Casualty, Employer, Life and Health, Med legal and Catastrophic files.
Quality Assurance responsibilities will include proofing and reviewing of clinical reports submitted from the assessor, which entails checking for grammar and spelling errors, confirming administrative level information details, reviewing file documentation references for accuracy and ensuring that all questions asked by the referral source are appropriately addressed.
In addition, this position will involve general administrative duties such as sending reports to assessors for sign off, tracking reports in the database, faxing, scanning, linking reports and dictations, staff assignment, and communicating with assessors and clients as necessary.
This role may be required to perform medical transcription duties as required and as determined by assignment.

- Advanced computer skills with ability to learn new programs quickly and employ a variety of software applications (e.g. Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Word, Windows Explorer, Outlook and Microsoft Excel are required).
- Familiarity with appropriate legislation as well as industry forms and requirements an asset
- Medical terminology and / or transcription an asset
Report Review / Quality Assurance :
- Ensure adherence to company and industry technical standards as required by legislation and client requirements (e.g., CARF, SABS, Clinical College Policies, Rules of court, PIPEDA etc.)
- May be asked to communicate with clients and assessors as needed.
- As part of the critical cross referencing requirement, review complex reports and ensure optimum report quality within all functional areas including the following :
- The overall content of the report conforms with all applicable technical and legislative requirements as above
- Client questions are addressed within the assessment process
- Provided file documentation is reviewed and integrated within the report in an accurate and comprehensive manner
- Other duties as assigned
Education, and experience required :
- University degree (preferred)
- Healthcare education / training is an asset
- Medical Transcription Certificate and / or Medical Terminology is an asset
- Experience in the IME, insurance or legal environments is preferred
- Knowledge and familiarity with relevant provincial or market segment legislation is an asset

8 hour shift between 7am and 8pm
