We are looking for a Financial Analyst . As a key member of the Finance team, you will be reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, Revenue & Reporting.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the financial information reporting process to the management team and firm members.
Scope of Responsibilities :
- Create, reconcile, and analyze billings, dockets, rates, and other financial information reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis
- Responsible for month end balancing and closing process, including but not limited to reconcile general ledger to sub ledgers
- Set up, review, and maintain special rates and provide financial information for request for proposals accordingly
- Prepare and analyze specific accounts for management and audit purposes, such as realization analyses and allowance for doubtful accounts as required
- Create, test, and maintain automated email notifications required for financial reporting
- Prepare revenue forecasting and budgeting activities
- Identify, suggest, and test process improvements to enhance financial reporting processes and actively participate in their implementation
- Build relationships with firm members and foster solid working relationships ensuring collaboration, teamwork, and effective information sharing
- Provide assistance to others during absences as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- University degree and working towards a Finance or Accounting designation preferred
- 1-3 years relevant experience in a professional services environment
- Proficient in Excel and desire to enhance reporting skills to track information, design, and build detailed reports
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Desire to learn about relational database systems and Thomson Reuters Elite 3E
- A team player who takes initiative and works well independently
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and demonstrates strong client service and ability to anticipate client needs in a timely manner
- Discretion and confidentiality are essential
- Proficient knowledge of accounting practices and principles
