Clinical Implementation Specialist, Advanced Orthodontics

As the Clinical Implementation Specialist, you will report to the CIS Manager and be responsible for supporting the adoption, implementation, and utilization of the SureSmile portfolio for Orthodontists and General Dentists.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive commercial growth across the SureSmile portfolio, including SureSmile Aligner, SureSmile Ortho Platform, and Advanced SureSmile Platform, ensuring sales, revenue, and utilization targets are achieved in alignment with Dentsply Sirona objectives.
- Provide proactive clinical and software support to Orthodontists and General Dentists using SureSmile Aligner, SureSmile Ortho, and Advanced SureSmile to increase adoption, clinical confidence, and long‑term utilization.
- Lead clinical and software implementation for assigned SureSmile Platform practices, supporting both orthodontic and GP workflows, including advanced and complex cases.
- Deliver comprehensive doctor and staff training for Orthodontic and GP practices during implementation and post‑implementation, with a focus on Advanced SureSmile functionality, workflow efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for SureSmile Software, aligner workflows, and advanced treatment planning across Orthodontic and General Dentist practices.
- Partner with SureSmile Customer Care, GBS, DS Digital Lab, and cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated clinical, software, or workflow issues.
- Monitor utilization metrics and clinical outcomes for Orthodontic and GP customers to identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and deeper engagement with Advanced SureSmile.
- Provide structured clinical, workflow, and utilization feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement of SureSmile Aligner and Advanced SureSmile solutions.
Primary Duties
Serve as the area expert for SureSmile Software, products, and services supporting Orthodontic and GP customers.Act as the area expert for SureSmile implementation processes for Orthodontists and General Dentists.Maintain Level 3 expertise across SureSmile platforms, with a focus on :
SureSmile Aligner (GP and Ortho)SureSmile OrthoAdvanced Wire onboardingLead CIS‑supported indirect bonding (IDB) training in‑office.Onboard Advanced SureSmile offices and support post‑implementation optimization.Plan weekly activities and review practice utilization metrics.Support internal and external training needs as directed.Collect and maintain practice data for outcomes assessment.Provide ongoing problem‑solving and workflow optimization support.Perform additional duties as assigned.Travel
Expect an average of 25% overnight travel monthly, which may vary based on customer needs or national projects.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Support the commercial organization through frequent collaboration with Procedural Solutions to drive sales and deliver programs, tools, and training.Partner with Procedural Solutions and related teams (Sales Operations, Customer Care, GBS, Digital Lab, Engineering, Shipping, and Product Group Trainers) to share feedback and support shared objectives.Collaborate with Procedural Solutions and Clinical Affairs on Alpha and Beta testing of software upgrades, including in‑office training and release‑related updates.Participate in ongoing training to maintain and strengthen job skills.Continue development as a SureSmile Software expert and collaborate across Dentsply Sirona teams in support of the One Customer initiative.Additional Responsibilities
Provide support training alongside local Orthodontic Field Representatives or lead training as requested by the Area Sales Director.Participate fully in CIS cross‑training related software updates and support Beta Test offices as needed.Assist with National Accounts / DSO, Institutional, and Clinical Affairs projects.Maintain accurate execution and account tracking within SFDC.Identify and share best practices with other CIS and Procedural Solutions specialists.Education
Bachelor’s degree or relevant dental industry experience.Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the orthodontic industry.Orthodontic office clinical or chairside experience preferred.Experience in orthodontic consulting, training, and process improvement required.Experience working with clinical staff or treatment consultations in an orthodontic office required.Experience integrating DICOM / STL imaging, CAD / CAM technologies, treatment planning software, and 3D printing within orthodontic workflows.Language Requirement
Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) required.Required Skills
