Adecco is actively seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Edmonton, AB . The ideal candidate will be an experienced technician responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our equipment operates smoothly and efficiently, providing dependable and timely service to our customers.

  • Location : Edmonton, AB
  • Shifts : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
  • Job type : Permanent Full-time

Responsibilities :

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on a variety of heavy equipment including forklifts, loaders, skid steers, and material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend repair options for malfunctioning equipment.
  • Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Comprehend and work from equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation for all service and repairs performed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements :

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Proven hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance procedures for heavy equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multi-task.
  • A motivated, reliable, and punctual self-starter.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician (including forklifts, loaders, skid steers, or heavy tractor trailers).
  • Journeyman or Red Seal certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Open to 3rd or 4th year apprentices.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Must have own tools.
